I am currently Cultural Arts Manager for the City of Fairfax, Virginia, where I oversee cultural programming and public arts initiatives.
I previously served as Director of Theater Programming at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. In this role, I oversaw a robust programming slate for our nation’s cultural center — handling everything from national Broadway tours to intimate, one-person shows — and served as General Manager for the Broadway Center Stage series, working closely with Executive Producer Jeffrey Finn to produce three full-scale musicals each year. Notable accomplishments include the world premiere of Schmigadoon!, produced in collaboration with Broadway Video (Lorne Michaels); an expanded production of tick, tick… BOOM! directed by Neil Patrick Harris; and a Helen Hayes–nominated run of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, featuring Beanie Feldstein, Taran Killam, Kevin McHale, Bonnie Milligan, and more.
In addition to Broadway Center Stage, I produced programming across three additional Kennedy Center portfolios — Comedy, Renée Fleming’s Voices series, and Sound Health, a joint initiative with the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Institutes of Health exploring the intersection of health, science, and the arts. My work spanned formats and settings, from intimate concerts at the Smithsonian to a dance party promoting positive mental health on the Kennedy Center lawn and improv shows with surprise guests from across Washington, DC. My broader experience includes serving as a Grant Panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts; developing independent theatrical productions and public programs nationwide; producing webinars and live events for Johns Hopkins University and Columbia Business School; and beginning my career as a Casting Intern at The Onion, working on The Onion News Network. I am particularly proud of The Last Improv Show at The Kennedy Center — a two-week run featuring D’Arcy Carden and Jason Mantzoukas, with appearances by Bill Nye the Science Guy and Adam Pally — and A.I. Reality v. Imagination at Johns Hopkins, a webinar featuring Professor Rama Chellappa and screenwriter Gary Whitta (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story).
